REFERENCE
U.WEB_CONTROL.DATEPICKER
Summary
Helper method used to create Web control indicator that will prompt UWeb to render an interactive date picker (calendar) in the indicated report cell. Supports having a time picker included or showing only a time picker
Syntax
Parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
[value] |
No | The current date (and/or time) value of the datepicker. Required when publishing with U.INCLUDE_HTML metadata set even if just set to a blank string ("") to indicate no selection specified. |
[attributes] |
No | A 2-column vector, with setting name on the left and its value on the right, of attributes to be applied. See table of supported attributes at the bottom of this tab. |
[location] |
No | A reference to the specific cell in the report_range that will contain the interactive datepicker when rendered in a browser. Cell immediately to left of formula (or above if rows layout) is assumed if value not set. If a range reference is provided then location is assumed to be the bottom-right cell of the reference. |
Behavior
The documented public interface is supported by the current U Add-in source signature and the maintained Usage Examples workbook. Optional parameters are shown in square brackets in the syntax above; omit the brackets when entering a formula.
Return Value
Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
Examples
Notes
- Formula examples are preserved from maintained workbook usage and normalized to the current
U.prefix. - Complete formulas demonstrate working patterns; they do not imply that undocumented option values are supported.
- Where maintained sources do not specify every accepted value, default, or error message, this page does not infer one.
- For functions that perform actions, use a visible trigger or supported block/throttle parameter to avoid unintended repetition during recalculation.
