U.SAVE_EMAIL_CONFIG
Summary
Saves the configs and/or credentials of specified email address for use by U.SEND_EMAIL. Info is encrypted and persisted locally per user. Not required if Outlook is installed and configured on the machine
Syntax
=U.SAVE_EMAIL_CONFIG(email_address, [password], [domain], [outgoing_smtp_host], [smtp_port], [no_ssl])
Parameters

Yes | The email address for which configs / credentials are being saved |
[password] |
No | The password required to send emails using specified email address. If not provided then U will attempt to send using Exchange Web Services ("EWS") and default credentials of logged on user |
[domain] |
No | The domain associated with the email address. May be required in some cases for EWS to resolve email address |
[outgoing_smtp_host] |
No | The name of the smtp server. Default is smtp. |
[smtp_port] |
No | The port used for outgoing emails on the smtp server. Port 587 is default |
[no_ssl] |
No | If set to TRUE then SSL is not used in smtp configuration. Default is to use SSL |
Behavior
The documented public interface is supported by the current U Add-in source signature and the maintained Usage Examples workbook. Optional parameters are shown in square brackets in the syntax above; omit the brackets when entering a formula.
Return Value
Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
