U.ENABLE_CONTROL

Summary

Enables workbooks in an instance of Excel to be controlled by other workbooks if not already enabled. When control is enabled in this way, it can be disabled by deleting this method

Syntax

=U.ENABLE_CONTROL([apply_current_settings])

Parameters

Parameter Required Description
[apply_current_settings] No If set to TRUE then any saved settings for workbooks in the current instance of Excel are ignored and overwritten by current settings. By default any saved settings are applied when control is enabled

Behavior

The documented public interface is supported by the current U Add-in source signature and the maintained Usage Examples workbook. Optional parameters are shown in square brackets in the syntax above; omit the brackets when entering a formula.

Return Value

Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
