U.ISOLATE_WORKBOOK

Summary

If present, new workbooks opened in the Excel instance will automatically be closed and reopened in a new Excel instance. Also by default the workbook will be relaunched in a new Excel instance if opened into an instance that already contains workbooks.

Syntax

=U.ISOLATE_WORKBOOK([exclude_self])

Parameters

[exclude_self] No If set to TRUE then the workbook will remain open if opened into an Excel instance that already has workbooks open (provided another open workbook does, itself, have a U.ISOLATE_WORKBOOK call)

Behavior

The documented public interface is supported by the current U Add-in source signature and the maintained Usage Examples workbook. Optional parameters are shown in square brackets in the syntax above; omit the brackets when entering a formula.

Return Value

Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
