U.VINSERT

Summary

Inserts specified rows/columns into a range of data at specified intervals up to a specified number of times

Syntax

=U.VINSERT(data, to_insert, intervals, [max_insertions], [insert_sizes], [insert_shift])

Parameters

Parameter Required Description
data Yes The data into which rows / columns will be inserted
to_insert Yes The rows / columns to insert into the data range
intervals Yes The intervals after which to insert the rows / columns. If the string "abs()" (or "absolute()") is included then numbers are interpreted as final row/column indexes instead of successive offsets
[max_insertions] No The maximum number of insertions to perform. Set to TRUE to perform insertions a the specified interval throughout the entire data range
[insert_sizes] No The number of insertion rows / columns to use for each insertion. When not specified, all insertion rows are used for each insertion
[insert_shift] No The number of columns / rows by which to shift the inserted rows / columns

Return Value

Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
