U.VUNIQUE

Summary

Returns the unique rows in a range of data (Descriptions use "column" and "row" consistent with the vertical flavor of the function; flip these terms to describe the horizontal flavor)

Syntax

=U.VUNIQUE(data, [retain_order], [case_sensitive], [type_sensitive])

Parameters

Parameter Required Description
data Yes The data range or ranges from which unique rows will be returned. If only a valid topic is provided, the first page of that report will be used unless there is a spaced pipe and page indicator following the topic (e.g.
[retain_order] No If set to TRUE then unique rows are returned in order of first appearance within the data range(s). If set to -1 then data is sorted in descending order of leftmost columns. By default returned data is sorted in ascending order of leftmost columns
[case_sensitive] No If set to TRUE then strings with different casing are considered to be different. By default string casing is ignored
[type_sensitive] No If set to TRUE then the string version of a number and the numeric version of that same number are treated as different. By default numbers and their string equivalents are treated as equal

Return Value

Returns the function result or action status described by the formula and parameters above. The maintained sources do not define a narrower, stable return contract for this function.
